Your favorite British crooner, Ed Sheeran, is heading to Westeros. This place is found in the Game of Thrones and Westeros is a continent located in the far west of the known world. It is separated from the continent of Essos by a strip of water known as the Narrow Sea. ‘Shape of You‘ singer Ed Sheeran will guest appear on the upcoming 7th season of HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones. This past Sunday, executive producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss revealed the news at South by Southwest panel in Austin Texas. They did not, however, give any specific details that concerns his role or when he will even show up. It won’t be long until fans find out when the hugely popular fantasy series returns on July 16th.
This is not the first on-screen gig for Ed Sheeran, who just turned 26 years old. He also had a recurring role on FX’s short-lived medieval drama The Bastard Executioner back in 2015. He also made a cameo in last year’s Bridget Jones’ Baby with Renée Zellweger. Hopefully we will be seeing a lot more of Ed Sheeran in shows and in movies.
Just so you know, Ed Sheeran is on tour this year. He is on the road in support of his latest album DIVIDE, which has already made huge waves with his fans. Check out our own ED SHEERAN Tour Page for his latest tour dates, links to look for tickets, and some of his very popular music videos.
