I don’t know about you, but both Rage Against The Machine and Stone Sour hold a special place in my metal heart. Both bands throw down the jams at full throttle all the time. This particular post highlights a song that was on the first album by Rage Against The Machine and is called Bombtrack, and this particular version is a ‘cover’ version done by Stone Sour themselves. I must say that it’s a dam good cover version and Stone Sour does the song justice. Corey sounds great fronting the song, and to be honest, I would have never had guessed that the song could be played with more ‘power’ than the original version by Rage, but Stone Sour definitely kicks the song’s butt and does a superb job. Take a listen below and drop a comment about what you think. We like it a lot. If you’re interested, the song is off a new album called Metal Hammer Goes 90s and it’s available through Metal Hammer themselves. The same album has Halestorm covering Soundgarden’s Fell On Black Days, there’s Prophets of Rage, Epica, Hatebreed and more. The Stone Sour version of Rage Against The Machine’s Bombtrack can be found below. Check it out!
