When country music star Luke Bryan sings his song ‘Crash My Party’, we don’t think this is exactly what he meant. Just hours after he performed a concert at Jones Beach, a tractor trailer from Bryan’s “Huntin’ Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour” crashed into the overpass at Sunrise Highway on the Wantagh State Parkway in Wantagh, NY.
Pictures from the scene show the truck, covered with Luke Bryan’s smiling face, crammed under the overpass just south of the exit ramp which leads to the westbound side of Sunrise Highway. Police said the accident took place about 2:30AM and it took up at least two lanes of the northbound Wantagh for cleanup and removal until about 6:50am this morning. There were no immediate reports of any injuries, but that can be updated at any time since this just happened. If you were not sure, it is illegal to drive a tractor trailer, or any commercial vehicle, on a parkway without special permission. Most of the time trucks like this that have something to do with the even performances have those special permits, but in this case, we still do not know yet. We’ll update as this develops.
