No, you don’t need your hearing checked. It’s true that even though the cowboy (Country Music Star George Strait) rode off into the sunset last year, country music mega star George Strait is now back and he’s brought some great news. A recent official announcement from George Strait was made (see video below) telling his fans that the country star is back on the country music scene and he’s brought new music, a new album and news about some live concert shows, or at least a number of shows in Las Vegas as part of a residency he make take up for a bit in 2016. The new George Strait record itself, which is titled Cold Beer Conversation, is supposed to be released within the next week or so, yet his concerts in Las Vegas won’t begin until sometime in 2016. In fact George Strait mentioned that he will be opening the new Las Vegas Arena and that his ‘residency‘ there will last from Spring 2016 through the Fall of that same year. Hopefully the set of shows will be very successful, this way he’ll extend his stay and more people can go see him.
On his new album, Cold Beer Conversation, George Strait included the musical talents of his son Bubba. They both collaborated and actually wrote a few of the songs together. When you get you hands on the new album, make sure you listen to the songs Everything I See, Let It Go and It Takes All Kinds. Those are just three of the songs the father & son duo wrote together. In the past, father and son have worked together before and it’s always been a hit when they do it live.
As of this very moment, a small handful of 2016 concert dates / live shows have been officially released by George Strait, and there will be more added shortly. You can find them listed on our GEORGE STRAIT Tour Page, along with links to look for tickets and a you can also enjoy a couple of fun George Strait music videos.

The country music scene for the 2016 is already taking up good shape. Not only have we heard here that George Strait is back, but in another recent article we wrote, Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert announced a duo-headlining 2016 Summer concert tour. Hopefully county music fans aren’t burnt out from all the great shows that took place this year.
