Grammy Nominations Are In, Led by Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift. Coming in February.

This coming February marks the 58th Anniversary of the Annual Grammy Awards and the huge event will be taking place on February 15th, 2016 and will be hosted by the one and only LL Cool J. There are so many popular names that are nominated this year. Kendrick Lamar himself was nominated for a shocking 11 different categories. Of late, Kendrick Lamar has become a huge hip-hop star who hails from Compton California and is extremely popular right now. Coming in behind Kendrick was The Weeknd with 7 nominations and Taylor Swift who also got 7 nominations.

We were actually somewhat surprised that Taylor Swift didn’t get more nods than she did, especialls after the record setting year she had. Her smash hit album 1989 and tour was tremendously big for her.

The choices to select from for Record of The Year include 1989 by Taylor Swift, Cant’ Feel My Face by The Weeknd, Really Love by D’Angelo, Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran and Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson with Bruno Mars. That is one tough category this year. Kendrick Lamar received a total of 11 nominations, which includes Song of The Year for his song ‘Alright‘ and also Album of The Year with his hugely successful studio release of ‘To Pimp a Butterfly‘. For the work he did with Taylor Swift on her song Bad Blood, he’s also up for Best Duo/Group Pop Performance.

The 2016 Grammy Awards Show will take place on February 15th and it will be aired on television on CBS. It’ll be a great show as usual, we’re pretty sure the live performances will be special as always. Enjoy the show!
