Metallica will continue their M72 Tour through the 2025 year. Joining them on this trek is Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills. Not all support bands are performing on the same nights. The tour kicks off in North America on April 12th when Metallica takes to the stage at a festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2025 Metallica Tour will also visit cities like Tampa, Syracuse, Columbus, Nashville, Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston and more, even Toronto, Ontario up in Canada. Presently they wrap up on June 29th when they perform their 2nd show at Empower Field in Denver. Although don’t forget that it’s quite common for bands to extend their tour as time goes on, so we will probably see a 2nd leg at some point. Metallica has stated that they will continue to carry on their ‘No Repeat Weekend’ tradition, with each stop featuring two dates and no repeat songs in the band’s setlist.
The M72 Tour is a world tour by Metallica which is in support of their ’72 Seasons’ album. That album was originally released back on April 14th of 2023, and the tour has been on the road since late November of 2022. The album was well received by fans, and the first song released, Lux Æterna, already has over 23 million views on YouTube. Other songs from the album include 72 Seasons (same name as album), Shadows Follow, Screaming Suicide, You Must Burn!, Sleepwalk My Life Away, and more. The album sold about a half a million copies in the United States alone.
Metallica’s decision to tour extensively in different regions allows them to connect with their global fan base and spread their music to new audiences. Each concert venue has been carefully selected to accommodate the large crowds that Metallica’s concerts attract. From iconic stadiums to renowned music arenas, these venues provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable concert experience.
