For us, the news came out of left field. We were not expecting this, but no one here is complaining, I can promise you that. The classic rock band The Doobie Brothers have just announced that they will be reuniting with Michael McDonald, and that they will be embarking on a 50th anniversary tour in 2021 and 2022. Last night in Tennessee when The Doobie Brothers were playing a normally scheduled concert, brought out a special guest. Lo and Behold, the special guest was Michael McDonald himself. While that was just one show, they made the announcement that he is rejoining the band for their 2021 – 2022 concert tour. It’s been about twenty five years since the main members of the band have been on the road. Finally it is true though, Michael McDonald, Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons and John McFee will hit the road together beginning in June of 2020. Their first scheduled concert of this upcoming trek is on June 9th at Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tour will also be visiting a slew of other cities, including Tampa, Nashville, Boston/Mansfield, Raleigh, Bristow, Virginia Beach, Saint Louis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, and a whole bunch more including one date up in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
